Sycamore Gap
The Sycamore Gap tree was probably the most famous tree in the UK until it was illegally felled in September 2023. A year later The National Trust Magazine featured a cover story on the tree one year on using a fairly standard and dull photograph in my opinion, which inspired me to create a more impactful illustration of the tree and mocked it up on the cover.
